A Night of Classic Swing is for everyone who appreciates swing from the big band era of the 1930s and '40s. The Olney Big Band highlights many of the greats of that era including Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller, Count Basie, Artie Shaw and more, for a night of swing that will transport you back in time.
This evening is presented by Gottaswing, which has been giving swing dance lessons and hosting swing dance shows in the Washington, DC area since 1994. Don't know how to swing dance? No worries! Before the band performs, there will be a beginner swing lesson at 7:30pm by Tom and Debra of Gottaswing.
